Dysport™
Dysport™, the new botulinum toxin on the market, is an alternative to Botox®. Like Botox®, Dysport™ is approved to treat forehead wrinkles and frown lines.
Though approved in the U.S. in April 2009, Dysport™ has been used throughout Europe since 1991 and approved for aesthetic purposes in 2001.
Many users suggest that the results of Dysport™ are faster acting than Botox® and may even last longer. In many cases, patients noted wrinkles fading as soon as 24 hours and lasting upwards of six months to one year. The results of both Dysport™ and Botox® are different for every patient. The dose of Dysport™ is not the same as or interchangeable with the dose of Botox®.
